කඩ ක්‍රියාපද = නෛපාතික ක්‍රියාපද

ක්‍රියාපදයක් සමඟ ක්‍රියා විශේෂණයක් හෝ අව්‍ය ශබ්දයක් (a, an, the හැර, at, by, for, in, of, to,  ... ) හෝ ඒ දෙකම හෝ යෙදීමෙන් උපදින ක්‍රියාපදය “කඩ ක්‍රියාපදය” නම් වේ.

“කඩ ක්‍රියාපදය” දෙස බැලීමෙන්, එහි අන්තර්ගත වචනාර්ථ අදහස හඳුනාගැනීමට පහසුවියහැකිවුවද, විශේෂාර්ථය හඳුනාගැනීමට අපහසුවියහැකිය.

run around යන “කඩ ක්‍රියාපදය” ගත විට, එහි අන්තර්ගත වචනාර්ථ අදහසවනුයේ “රවුමේ දුවනවා” (රවුමක් තුළ, යමක් වටේ දුවනවා) වුවද එහි විශේෂාර්ථය වනුයේ “හැමතැනම (‘හතර/දහ අතේ’) ඇවිදිනවා” (යමක් කරන්න, එක එක තැන්වලට යනවා) යන්නයි.

run into - වචනාර්ථය = යමක (වදින්න) හැප්පෙන්න යනවා. විශේෂාර්ථය = අහම්බෙන් යමෙක්/යමක් මුණගැහෙනවා.

run along with - වචනාර්ථය = එකම වේගයෙන්, යම් කෙනෙක් එක්ක (සමාන්තරව) දුවනවා.
[කෙනෙකුට හෝ දෙයකට පසෙකින් (පැත්තකින්) හෝ කෙනෙක් හෝ දෙයක් වෙත, එම දෙය හෝ පුද්ගලයා ගේ (චලනයේ) වේගයෙන් ම දුවනවා.]
විශේෂාර්ථය = කවුරු හරි/කණ්ඩායමක් එක්ක යාළුවෝ (set) වෙන අදහසින්, එකතුවෙලා එක එක වැඩ කරනවා.

The dog ran along with the bicycle.
to run around with (someone) - to be friends and do things with someone or with a group
The boy is running around with a bad group of people.}

“කැඩි ක්‍රියාපදය”ක් සමඟ තවත් පද එකතුවීමෙන්  සමහර රූඬි නිර්මාණය වේ. එවිට රූඬිමය අරුත ගෙනදීමට යෙදෙන ස්ථිර ක්‍රමයක් පවතී.

I ran around like a chicken with its head cut off as I tried to prepare for my holidays.

මෙතැන්සිට, ඉංග්‍රීසි කඩ ක්‍රියාපද අකාරාදී පිළිවෙලට ‘සිංහල ආර’ හෝ අරුත ගන්වා, පෙළගසනු ලැබේ. ආදරයෙන් වැළඳගනිත්වා.
