Just as it is possible for a man to write his own life, which we call his autobiography, so we can imagine an animal or a thing such as a tree or a chair telling the story of its life. To write this you must imagine that you are the animal or the thing which is telling its own story. The next couple of lessons are some autobiographies of this kind.
