When we turn such sentences into Indirect Speech we must use at the beginning verbs which show whether the sentences are commands, requests, or warnings. The sentences above should be changed in some such ways as these:— 

1. The nurse bade the child go to her at once. 

2. The customer ordered another cup of coffee. 

3. She told the children not to laugh at him. 

4. She ordered him off to bed and forbade him to speak again. 

5. He begged his friend to send him his photograph soon. 

6. He asked him not to tell anyone. 

7. He wanted me to help as many people as I could. 

8. She implored her husband to forgive the boy just that time. 

9. He urged him to drive carefully round the corner. 

10. He warned them to shut all windows that night. 

11. I told the servant to be sure to post that letter in time. 

12. He reminded him that he had to wind his watch up. 

13. He warned us not to miss the train. 

14. We were told to wipe our shoes when we went into the house. 

15. She begged them to be quiet.
