අපි, “එක් දෙයක්” ගැන කතාකරනවිට දී, යොදනුයේ ඒක වචන ස්වරූපය යි.

අපි යම්දෙයක් ගැන කතාකරනවිට, එය එකකට වඩාවැඩි නම් යොදනුයේ, බහුවචන ස්වරූපය යි.

සාමාන්‍යයෙන්, බහුවචනයෙන් යොදනුයේ සාමාන්‍ය සංඥා නාම හා සමූහවාචී නාම පමණි.

ද්‍රව්‍ය නාම, සංඥා නාම, භාවවාචක නාම බහුවචනයෙන් යොදනුයේ, එම නාමයන් සර්වනාමලෙසින් යොදනවිටදී පමණි.
